He lives and works in Mexico City. He completed the SOMA Educational Program (2017, Mexico City) and holds a degree in Visual and Media Arts from CEDIM (2011, Monterrey). He took a semiotics workshop at BAU (2009, Barcelona) and has participated in various workshops and programs with specialists such as Marwa
Arsanios, Daniel Blanga-Gubbay, Zeynep Öz, María Virgina Jaua, Daniel Montero, and Shahram Entekhabi.

Mirlo has completed several artist residencies, including: NIROX Foundation (2025, South Africa); Casa Nano (2024, Japan); Casa Wabi Foundation (2019, Mexico); INSTINC (2017, Singapore); Abu Dhabi Arthub (2015, United Arab Emirates); ECAIR (2013, Malaysia) and ACOSS (2013, Armenia).
He was awarded the FONCA 2018–2019 Young Creators Grant in the Alternative Media category and hasbeen awarded the FONCA Special Support Program in 2017 and the FINANCIARTE program by CONARTE in2024, 2019, 2018, 2014, and 2013.
